A group of us from my church visited Uncle Lawrence at the St Mark’s Cozyhome in Sg Buluh new village on Sunday. He is about 90 years old and appeared rather frail and weak but happy when we saw him. The St Mark’s Cozyhome is a retirement home run by the Anglican church. The building is three-storeys high and very spacious, airy with lots of sunlight coming through the windows and air-well. It is also clean and quiet, suitable for the elderly folks. We looked at some of the rooms on the ground floor. There are single rooms and rooms with up to quad sharing. There are attached bathrooms in all the rooms and in rooms with more beds, there were two bathrooms. On the top most floor are apartments, of which one is occupied by the pastor and his wife. There is also a hall there where church services are conducted.
We were greeted by Ginger (I gave her this name) as we entered Cozyhome. This cat doesn’t belong to anyone, but walks around the compound of this building.
Ginger followed us as we looked at the place on the ground floor.
This is the hall where church services are conducted. The Chinese words read “Hope, Love and Joy”. Or is it “Hope, Love and Peace”….. I don’t know Mandarin
( MeL, can you help me??? I only know for sure the centre character is Love.
Saw this plant in the garden. What’s it called, huh?
Ginger was sad when we said goodbye.
After visiting Uncle Lawrence, we had lunch at this restaurant.
Most of us had this noodle because the other dishes on the menu that we wanted were sold out. Some plates of noodles were a bit dry and so we had to add some curry.
This is the curry, which is quite nice.
Some had rice porridge.
Someone (not telling who) had this nasi lemak and he was so hungry that by the time I got a chance to take a picture, it was half finished.

Its Hope, Love and Faith. C… told u to brush up on ur Chinese!! haha^^
