Today I received the above text message from an unknown mobile phone number congratulating me for winning the first prize of RM15,000 cash from Shell company and to call the number 014-5557375.
Of course, I knew straightaway that it was a scam because the name of Shell wasn’t correct and I’m sure that if I had won a prize, Shell would make an effort to reach me instead of sending a SMS. Moreover, I had not entered any contests with Shell so how could I have won a prize. Anyway, I didn’t bother calling the number given and deleted the message.
I never got such a thing to phone, but i get double to my emails… This seems more like spam rather than scam. Visit http://www.scampond.com, then you will know the difference..
Lol… i just got this message just now and i google the number 014-5557375 and i got in here..
i think GOOGLE do help to prevent us from being tricked..
