English Translation

You ask me how deep my love for you is,
How much I really love you…
My affection is real.
My love is real.
The moon represents my heart.

You ask me how deep my love for you is,
How much I really love you…
My affection does not waver,
My love will not change.
The moon represents my heart.

* Just one soft kiss
is enough to move my heart.
A period of time when our affection was deep,
Has made me miss you until now.

* You ask me how deep my love for you is,
How much I really love you.

* ** Go think about it.
Go and have a look [at the moon],
The moon represents my heart.

Repeat *

Repeat **

(I found the above English translation here.  Thanks to whoever you are.)

Five years have flown past

beach4

Five years ago today, my brother left us suddenly to be with the Lord.   Memories of him are still fresh in my mind, my big brother, Peter the Rock, whom we loved and always will.  God be with you till we meet again.

Happy New Year 2009

The year 2009 has arrived and it was sad to say goodbye to 2008. The year 2008 flew by so fast and I am getting older too. One resolution I made last year has to be forwarded to this year.

This year, Chinese New Year falls on 26 January and looks like it’s going to be another round of celebration. People here are still spending and the shopping malls are packed with people. Not sure if they are actually spending money or window shopping.

I went to the tailor yesterday and she told me that my clothes will only be ready in February! Her shop was full of clothes in various stages of completion.  I guess women do need new clothes for the new year.

My poor cat, Tiger spent New Year’s eve with a swollen left ear. I don’t know how he got injured but he could possibly have been hit by some idiot.   Tiger is prone to being bullied by humans.   He’s such an obedient cat and whenever someone shouts or tries to hit him, he will just roll over on his back instead of running away.   I can’t imagine how some people can be so cruel to animals.

Anyway, hope all of you will be blessed in the year 2009.

Merry Christmas

pc130542

Merry Christmas to you.  Time really flies, it feels like only yesterday when I celebrated last Christmas.  I didn’t do much shopping this year because I was too busy with work.  My family and I went out for Christmas eve dinner and it was good because we didn’t have to do the dishes nor do any cooking.  But we missed the turkey.  The price of turkey is cheaper this year, I suppose this year somebody didn’t make big bucks at our expense.

We ate too much, as usual….

When we arrived at the restaurant at about 7 p.m. we heard some people singing karaoke in a room.  At the dining area, we were the only diners!  No kidding and it must be the sign of the times.  Even after we paid the bill and left, there were still no other diners walking in.   Also, this afternoon when I went for lunch, the “har mee” cost me RM3.50.  I think the price has gone down because it used to be RM3.80 or RM4.00.   I hope that soon the price of food will go down.

Remembering Dad

12 July 1930 – 15 October 2004.  The day my dad was born and the day he died, but what matters most of all is the dash between those years.  For that dash represents all the time that he spent alive on earth and now only those who loved him know what that little line is worth.
